Asparagus & Brie Puff Pastry Wraps

These Asparagus & Brie Puff Pastry Wraps are flaky on the outside & creamy on the  inside, elevated with a sweet honey drizzle. The perfect snack, lunch, or dinner!

Ingredients

  • Supa Mama® baking paper
  • 500 g/1 bunch asparagus, ends trimmed
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 sheets frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 200 g brie, cut into 8 slices
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 pinch crushed chili flakes
Dressing:
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons salted butter
  • 1 tablespoon fresh or dried thyme leaves
Instructions:
  1. Preheat the oven to 180° Line a baking sheet with Supa Mama® baking paper.
  2. Toss together the asparagus, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  3. Roll the puff pastry sheets out on a lightly floured surface and cut into 8 squares/rectangles. Arrange squares on your prepared baking sheet.
  4. Place a piece of brie on each square, followed by a handful of asparagus.
  5. Take 2 opposite corners of each pastry and wrap up and over the asparagus to enclose (see photo below).
  6. Brush each pastry with egg and place in the oven and bake 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. While the pastries are cooking, melt together the honey, butter, and thyme in a small saucepan over low heat.
  8. Serve the pastries warm, drizzled with thyme honey and crushed red pepper. Enjoy!
